Our fast-growing practice has a multi-state patient base accustomed to top-quality service and state of the art technology.
Dr.
Carfrae is the only board certified neurotologist in the central Iowa area and has built the practice around providing premium care to both adult and pediatric patients experiencing hearing loss and vestibular problems.
Iowa Ear Center is seeking a motivated and self sufficient individual to join our team.
They must maintain a high level of professionalism while creating a friendly and helpful environment for our patients.
This position requires the ability to multi-task and efficient time-management skills.
The individual must be comfortable with providing premium customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Creates a positive environment by greeting patients warmly and promptly, following up on any patient needs and answering questions to the best of their ability, maintaining a clean waiting room and work area and projecting a professional image.
Facilitates optimum communication flow with a multi-line system by quickly assessing the callers' needs, taking complete and accurate messages and routing calls to the appropriate staff member, and answering the callers' questions to the best of their ability, all while complying with HIPAA requirements.
Verifies complete, accurate and up-to-date information on the patient including but not limited to:
demographic information, insurance and co-pay information including images of patient's cards, and patient permission forms e.

HIPAA Notice of Privacy, Alternative Communication Form.
Facilitates efficient patient flow and optimal use of provider time by reviewing appointment schedules and making adjustments as needed, preparing encounter forms for patient charts, preparing provider schedules for appropriate staff, and scheduling appointments within set guidelines.
Provides excellent customer service by scheduling follow up appointments and testing, both at the clinic and at other facilities, in a timely manner.
Supports practice revenue by consistently collecting co-pays and outstanding balances during patient registration.
Assists in day to day administrative tasks including but not limited to:
responding to patient and outside clinic information requests, making reminder calls or programming automated reminder calls to patients with upcoming appointments or patients due for a follow-up, restocking various patient mailing packets, creating new patient charts, sorting and routing mail, faxes, etc.
Contributes to team environment by expanding job knowledge, filling in for other staff as needed or workload allows and participating in staff training.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
